The Month of the Wood Sheep Has Begun

As of today, July 7, we are in the Wood Sheep month. The Soulmate Month we forecast last week has arrived.

I want to mark the moment clearly, because this is one of the months I've been looking forward to writing about all year. The last two months were hard. The Metal Snake month and the Water Horse month were both difficult elemental combinations: fire melting metal, the water and fire clash sitting on top of everything. A lot of people white-knuckled through June.

That stretch is behind us now.

The Wood Sheep month runs from today through approximately August 7. Here's the quick summary:

Wood feeds fire. The month element is wood and the year element is fire, and that combination is highly auspicious. One of the better elemental pairings you can have inside a Fire Horse year.

The month sign and the year sign are soulmates. That means this is a window where major life events tend to cluster. Engagements. Reconciliations. The conversation that finally moves a relationship. These don't land on a schedule, but they tend to land in a Soulmate Month more than any other time.

The Sheep is the sign of emotions and love. The Horse is fire. Two fire signs together means passion is running high, and it will stay high through August 7.

The One Rule for the Whole Month

High passion means high tempers can run alongside it. That's not a reason for caution. It's a reason for self-control. The two aren't the same thing.

Caution says: hold back. Self-control says: move with intention rather than with heat.

This month rewards people who move with intention. Who decided what they wanted before the passion of the month made the decision for them. If you did that work last week, you're ready. If you didn't, you still have time. Open a notebook and write down two things: one relationship you want to deepen, and one fight you're going to refuse to have.
